DILTON Marsh family business Butterfly Home Help recently held a tea party for their clients at Weston Free Church in Bath, with a traditional afternoon tea and entertainment supplied by a magician and air cadet band.
The care provider, run by Dilton Marsh couple Anne and Eric Pelling, operates out of Westbury and Bath, and transported its Wiltshire clients to Weston for the tea party last month.
Managing director Anne said, “This event has become a bit of a tradition and clients enjoy the parties so much that they ask when the next one will be! It’s a great occasion where families young and old can get together, and we can relax socially with our clients and staff.
“I made a traditional afternoon tea of finger sandwiches, scones, jam and clotted cream and a selection of cakes served on tiered cake stands, Harrod’s style!
“Our care co-ordinator is an instructor in 93rd (City of Bath) Squadron of the Air Training Corps band, and we make a donation to their work, so they agreed to play at the event, and we also had entertainment from magician Paul Macleavy.
“Everyone had a great time and is looking forward to the next one. One of our guests had not been out of their home for three years until they came to one of our parties, and now they are a regular attendee!”
