Following the very successful open day at the beginning of September, the Westbury Family History Group is offering another opportunity, on Thursday 25th September in the foyer of the Methodist Church at 7.15pm.
The open day will provide help for anyone interested in taking the first steps in tracing their family history or assist those who have already started tracing their family members and family history and would like some more help.
The organisers advise visitors to bring along everything you know about your family, focusing on names, dates of birth, marriage and death and places they may have lived, and get practical advice on how to continue your research. Members of the Wiltshire Family History Society will also be on hand to help with the research and access to some of the on-line genealogy sites.
The Westbury Family History Group meets every 4th Thursday of the month at 7.15pm in the foyer of the Westbury’s Methodist Church. The branch has regular interesting and informative talks and discussions by members and guest speakers on all aspects of family history and general history.
The groups says, “Why not come along and join us for an enjoyable evening and listen to professional presenters in some great company?”
