WESTBURY Leigh Community Hall is hoping to bounce back and provide the local community with valuable events and club meetings after lockdown restrictions limited what the hall could offer.
Corrine Hunter, treasurer for the hall said, “Westbury Leigh Community Hall continues to grow its offerings for the community after the pandemic lockdown. The hall now hosts many exercise, relaxation, meditation classes, and various craft classes.
“It is beginning to be used once again by local organisations as an alternative meeting place and continues to be a popular venue for parties. The committee that runs the Westbury Leigh Community Hall charity is keen to see the hall as a focus for local community events and recently held a very successful pumpkin carving day and pumpkin trail.
“Christmas also came early for the Hall as it hosted its Christmas market on the 20th November, complete with a visit from Father Christmas in his grotto to bring festive cheer, not to mention a selection of arts and crafts stalls and carol singing that kept residents busy.”
The hall will also be welcoming back its popular quiz on Saturday 27th November, starting promptly at 7.30pm. Cost is £10 for a team of up to six people.
