MEMBERS of the Westbury Quilters raised £203 for the Wiltshire Air Ambulance at the group’s charity coffee morning on Saturday 13th May.
This money, alongside other funds raised by the group throughout the year, will be donated to the Wiltshire Air Ambulance at the end of year.
Westbury Quilters committee member, Maureen Woollard, said, “A huge thank you to all who helped but also to those who supported the event to make it such a success. On the day we served coffee, tea, cake and biscuits to those that came, as well as holding a raffle and a sales table where we managed to raise £203. Air Ambulance volunteers were also there and they had a table selling their charity’s products.”
Westbury Quilters meet on the last Tuesday of every month, from 12.30pm to 3.30pm at the Leigh Park Community Centre.
Wiltshire Air Ambulance is a charity which provides Helicopter Emergency Medical Services across Wiltshire, Bath, and surrounding areas. It costs £4 million each year to keep the helicopter flying and saving lives.
