Westbury rider Jay Able is enjoying a strong season on the track, sitting third in the National 600 Championship at the halfway stage.
The talented young rider has continued to collect silverware with a series of podium finishes at major circuits, including Cadwell Park, Anglesey and Pembrey. His results include several second and third place finishes, underlining his consistency in a competitive field.
Jay has also been making progress in the Phoenix Open category, which features bikes up to 1000cc. Competing against more powerful machines, he has secured multiple podium finishes, including an impressive second place at Anglesey.
Riding a Yamaha R6 in the 600cc class, Jay has remained competitive despite a slight power disadvantage compared to some of his rivals.
“His Yamaha R6 is performing well, although a bit down on power compared to the other 600s,” said his dad, Mark. “He will be happy if he can retain third place overall by the end of the year.”
Jay thanked the local businesses who have supported him – E.G. Martin Heating Oil, NL Motor Services, Rogers Poultry Services, DPN Cars, Phoenix Motorcycles, All Drainage Services, Smiths Engine Services, Only Skin Deep Tattoo Studio and T.Deacon Fencing.
