SCHOOLS across Westbury have shown their support for Children in Need this year, by dressing up and organising various events to raise money last Friday, 19th November.
Children at Bitham Brook Primary School marked the day by dressing as their favourite charitable bear. Claire Clift, office manager at Bitham Brook Primary School said, “Some very helpful and responsible Year 6 children have helped count out the donations received so far and our school community has raised well over £300 with donations still coming in!”
At Dilton Marsh Primary School, children in Beech class took inspiration from the avatars of the teacher-to-student communication app, Dojo, for their fundraising event.
Westbury CofE Junior and Westbury Infants also had a fundraising event, with students donning Pudsey face paint and ears.
Bratton Primary School had their own focus on raising money this year, as the school raised funds to help one of their pupils who is ill (see story on front page). But students and staff still found the time to do even more, as they marked the day with a sponsored, ‘wear something yellow or spotty theme’ at the school’s breakfast club.
