Children and teenagers from across the area will be celebrated at this year’s Westbury Young People Awards. Nominations are now open for a variety of categories including Young Carer, Young Sports Team and Young Environment Champion.
People have until Friday 18th April to submit their nominations. Teachers, coaches, group leaders, parents, grandparents, friends or family members can all put forward a young person who deserves to be recognised. The nominees can be any age up to 19 or up to 25 with SEND, and they need to either live or go to school or college in Westbury community area.
Hosted by the Westbury Area Board, the awards ceremony will take place on Wednesday 18th June at Matravers School. As well as celebrating the award winners, the event will also showcase Westbury talent with performances from Matravers students and a live band made up of local young people.
This year’s categories are:
- Young Leader
- Young Achiever
- Young Carer
- School Council Award
- Young Community Champion
- Young Environment Champion
- Young Sports Team
- Young Sports Individual
- Young Arts Group
- Young Arts Individual
