LOCAL business networking group i2i will be hosting an open breakfast meeting early next month to celebrate its second anniversary.
i2i was set up in 2012 as a non-profit organisation to create a web of businesses that recommend one another, widening the customer base and improving trade for all. The open breakfast meeting, on Wednesday 5th November, will be a chance for local companies to find out about networking opportunities in the area.
i2i founder Tim Page said, “i2i is rapidly approaching its second anniversary and to date has passed over 800 business introductions amongst its members, resulting in a very impressive £485,00 worth of business!
“The beauty of the system is that once you’ve joined you effectively lock out your competition, because no conflicting business can be a member at the same time.
“We held a very successful funday at Leigh Park Community Centre this year to help local fundraisers, and were also drawn in a raffle to support Westbury United Reserves. As winners i2i have the logo printed on the reserve teams’ shirts for the season.”
The network works by businesses recommending others within the network to their own customers, to provide a variety of services. The system aims to keep trade inside the town and strengthen the local economy.
