Readers of the White Horse News have raised £1,575 for Dorothy House Hospice Care through donations for messages in the newspaper’s Family Messages column.
The funds were raised through donations in 2024 from readers of the White Horse News and its sister publications, the Frome Times and the Melksham News. Readers are invited to contribute when running a message in the Family Messages column, with all proceeds going directly to support the local hospice.
Accepting the cheque on behalf of the hospice, a charity shop manager for Dorothy House, Ula said, “These funds are vital because they are for running the hospice, for the nurses, for the staff, for the shops to be able to still operate for many volunteers and it’s to help Dorothy House to run the services that we are running.
“We are very grateful. Thank you, White Horse News.”
