Budding young artists from primary schools across the county have been invited to take part in a competition to design the Wiltshire Police Christmas Card 2015.
Each year, the Force publishes a unique Christmas card to be sent out to partner agencies, but this year chief constable Mike Veale is inviting Year 5 and 6 pupils at all schools in Wiltshire to get involved and create a festive design to adorn the front of the card.
With just 65 days to go until Christmas Day Mr Veale said, “I hope children find this competition engaging and enjoyable; it has been designed to encourage young people in our local communities to think about the difference police officers make to their lives, not just during the festive period, but all year round, and I hope this can be reflected in the Christmas card designs.
“I am looking forward to seeing some of the many artistic talents of Wiltshire’s primary school students.”
Mr Veale has written to all primary schools in Wiltshire inviting children to take part in the competition.
Deadline for entries is Monday 23rd November and a winner will be chosen by Mr Veale shortly after.
