WESTBURY Town Council has welcomed back colleagues from Wiltshire Police to the Reading Room at The Laverton, for regular monthly drop-in sessions.
The town council report, “Residents can call in to the Laverton, Bratton Road, on the second Wednesday of each month from 10.00am to 11.00am and talk direct to an officer. Drop-in sessions are a great opportunity for people to have their say and raise relevant concerns direct to local policing. Officers endeavour to achieve drop-in sessions that afford all aspects of the local community the opportunity to engage directly with local support officers.
“With direct access to the Reading Room which is located at the side of the Laverton and away from the council offices, residents can be assured that their discussions with any police officers will remain confidential and their privacy will be respected.
“Wiltshire Police are also keen to hear suggestions for other locations the community would like to see future drop-in sessions held.
“Initially running until January, if these sessions prove popular with residents, they will be extended.”
