TO CELEBRATE the recent International Women’s Day, children at Bitham Brook Primary School learned about some of the amazing things invented by women such as the computer, wiper blades, the dishwasher and chocolate chip cookies!
Inspired by this, teachers asked children to invent something useful as their homework task.
Inventions included a hover hoover, a cleaning robot, an oven which will cook anything that you ask it to, a handy portable kit for adults taking warfarin, an app to help locate missing pets, gloves which will write and calculate for you and a pizza-making robot.
Headteacher David Ross said, “The children were full of ideas and really keen to create their inventions and I was amazed to see how much thought went into their work. This was a topic which really inspired them all and maybe one day one of our pupils will feature on Dragons’ Den!”
