NINE-year old Lilly Goodall, a pupil at Westbury Leigh Primary School, has raised £750 for The
Little Princess Trust after having 14 inches cut off her hair.
The Little Princess Trust provides free real hair wigs to children and young people with hair loss, and funds vital research into childhood cancers.
Lilly decided she wanted to raise money for the charity after feeling inspired by them. Lilly’s father, Daniel Denaro said, “Lilly had 14 inches of hair cut off to make a wig. We would like to thank Paige Ranger for finding time in her schedule to cut Lilly’s hair. Her football team, Warminster Sky Blue FC, have been very supportive. The players and parents and the encouragement has kept everyone very positive.
“Obviously we are super proud and it melts our hearts that our daughter is so loving and caring and at this time of year, it feels more highlighted.”
Lilly’s mother, Natasha Denaro said, “Lilly feels good about having her hair chopped off because of what she has done and also joyful because she is helping children.
“Lilly feels amazed about raising so much money because she wasnt expecting to get to her target, let alone smashing it to get to £750, which means she can help another child be happy again.”
