STAFF at Westbury Swimming Pool held a special birthday party for one of its customers, Ernest Noad, who turned 100 years old earlier this month.
After he had a swim in the pool, staff surprised Ernest with a birthday cake and presented him with an enlarged pool timetable, an honorary lifetime membership and many cards from all his friends that swim at the same time.
The staff at Places for People Leisure wanted to acknowledge their oldest regular customer who is still very active.
Colin Larrigan, general manager at Westbury Swimming Pool said, “Ernest is well known and loved by all of our staff members and customers. Despite being 100 years of age, he is always at the pool swimming his lengths, non-stop. He is also a funny and friendly character to all that meet him. We are all about creating active places for healthy people, and Ernest is an inspiration to us all.”
Westbury Swimming Pool has been closed for five days for essential maintenance work, but staff are looking forward to welcoming customers back when they reopen on Saturday 17th December.
