WESTBURY Car Auctions will be looking to raise money for Children in Need next month, by auctioning off a 1966 Morris Minor at the launch of their classic car events.
The car will be a special lot included in the 30-50 classic cars expected to be auctioned on Friday 14th November. Auction owner Paul Burden said, “We got hold of this car with the intention of auctioning it for charity. We wanted to make it as English as possible and we managed to get a Morris Minor from 1966!
“The car is completely in its original condition, and is just begging to be restored. These are genuine collectible cars and will only increase in value in the future; it’s a solid investment.
“The car would have cost £540 new in 1966, so it would be great to try and double that at the auction.
“I’m expecting several hundred people to come to the classic car auction, and hopefully we’ll have a few bidding on this for charity. It’s been a while since I’ve done something like this, but it’s something a bit different and we’re really looking forward to it.”
The Morris Minor is a classic English car that stayed in production from 1948 – 1971, and is now popular among collectors.
Westbury Car Auctions’ first vintage and classic car sale will take place on Friday 14th November at 1pm. It will be a static auction and is limited to 50 cars.
