A Westbury resident has been recognised for her achievements since leaving the military, winning a top honour at the British Ex-Forces in Business Awards.
Amy Linnell was named New Service Leaver of the Year at the awards ceremony in London, which celebrates the achievements of veterans and the valuable contribution they make in business.
Amy served for over 14 years in the Royal Air Force as a Logistics Movements Controller, planning and coordinating support for exercises and operations around the world. She now works for SA Group as a Project Management Consultant, currently supporting Defence Digital as a Change Manager.
Amy said, “I am thrilled to receive this award. A huge thanks goes to SA Group for the nomination, and to my colleagues who have been extremely supportive. It is a privilege to work for a company that actively celebrates the achievements of veterans.”
SA Group CEO Steve Jackson added, “Amy is extremely deserving of this award. She is an excellent advocate for ex-forces in business, and I am certain she has a bright future ahead of her.”
