A WESTBURY businesswoman is in the running to scoop the title of ‘Accountant of the Year’, awarded by the International Association of Book-keepers (IAB).
Natasha Penny, owner of Busy Books, will go to the House of Commons in Westminster next week to find out if she has won.
Natasha was forced to give up her previous job after suffering severe injuries in a car crash. Whilst recuperating, she decided to take an evening class in bookkeeping and found a job with a local firm of accountants.
After extensive training and studying, she finally passed both her bookkeeping and accountancy exams and took the plunge and started her own business, Busy Books, in Westbury.
“There’s a great deal of job satisfaction in supporting small and micro local businesses and sole traders,” explains Natasha. “My team has worked hard to make Busy Books such a success, so we’re hoping for a great result which reflects our efforts.”
