THE Advice Team, operated by Diverse Abilities, has launched its telephone appointment service across Wiltshire in order to provide more support and advice for those with disabilities.
The group report, “Suitable for those looking for help and advice on disability benefits, applications, appeals and lasting power of attorney, the Advice Team aims to ensure a person has all the assistance they need to secure the benefits to which they are entitled or the appropriate lasting power of attorney.
“Initially set up in Dorset 15 years ago, the Advice Team has grown its telephone appointment service and is able to offer more support to those outside of the county.”
Elaine Ewing, Advice Team manager said,“These past few months have been such a difficult time for everyone, but we’ve found that the telephone appointment service has made accessing support much easier for people.
“Last year we had a success rate of more than 90 per cent for disability benefit appeals and are looking forward to being able to help more people as we expand our catchment area.”
