WILTSHIRE Air Ambulance charity shop in Westbury needs volunteers – could you help?
Since the Air Ambulance Shop in Maristow Street was opened in 1998 by Dot Whitehead and her grand-daughter, Carrie Aldous, who now manages the shop, it has raised over £1m for the lifesaving charity – which is an incredible achievement.
The Westbury shop is very busy, both with people donating items to sell and also with customers, and they are so grateful to everyone who donates and buys items as the money raised helps to keep the helicopter and crew flying and saving lives.
Carrie and her team of volunteers work tirelessly but they do need more volunteers – can you help?
Jemma Brown from Wiltshire Air Ambulance said, “Volunteering is so rewarding, there’s no minimum time commitment and you will be helping WAA to continue its lifesaving work. If you can help out by donating your time each week to help sort out the donations or to work on the shop floor on Saturdays, you will be not only helping to keep the shop running, you will be helping save lives.”
