LIVE music and dancing, food stalls, street entertainers, crafts and much more will be at Westbury’s Summer Celebration on Saturday 9th July, followed by a live music concert in the evening.
This popular summer fair, organised by Westbury Town Council and local organisations, will take place throughout the town centre from 10am until 4pm with live music in the evening from 6-11pm.
There’s something for the whole family during the day. There will be a balloon artist, a fun dog show, miniature railway, a skittle alley and a fun fair, as well as various food and drink stalls. There will also be an inflatable laser game zone and why not experience the feeling of zero gravity in the Spaceball.
There will also be an opportunity to walk the Blue Plaque Trail around Westbury’s historical landmarks. Leaflets will be available from the council’s information tent in the high street.
The evening entertainment will begin at 6pm and once again has a packed line up. The headline act this year is the UK’s number one Madness tribute act, Complete Madness. There will also be performances from the Cleyhill Stompers, Lauren Chidgey, Phil Cooper, Lauren Kate and Samuel Jacks. The compere for the evening will be Jon Monie.
Events coordinator at Westbury Town Council Verity Bartlett said, “It is a very popular event in the town and people really look forward to it. It’s an excellent event and is always well attended.
“All the local shops will be open as usual, so it’s a great opportunity to support local businesses and have a fun day out. The event brings people together and despite being a relatively small market town, we have brilliant community spirit. Let’s make the Summer Celebration something Westbury can be proud of!”
