Children at Bitham Brook Primary School were very excited at the official opening of their new outside library last Monday.
The dedicated outside space has been created with soft all-weather flooring, shade and artistic murals to give children a quiet, comfortable zone where they can sit, relax and enjoy a great book.
Pam Williams from the school said, “The children love their new library and have been very keen to use it.”
The idea was the brainchild of Mrs Robertson (English leader) and Mrs Clift from FOBBS (Friends of Bitham Brook School) who got behind the idea.
The outside library was opened by Basil Nankivell from Wiltshire Library, who cut the ribbon to officially open the new learning space.
Mr Nankivell said, “It is brilliant that the school values reading and encourages children to love books and to get into stories by making such an attractive, quiet reading space.”
