Founder of Westbury-based care company Butterfly, Anne Pelling, has set her sights high for her 50th birthday and is jumping out of a plane to fund raise for Dorothy House Hospice.
After receiving a gift of a sky dive from her children Ben and Hannah for her recent big birthday, Anne, who lives in Dilton Marsh decided to make her leap count, and has pledged to raise £500 for the local charity.
Anne said, “It’s true to say I’m terrified about the sky dive, but I’m now highly motivated to do it and make a small difference.
“My team in both Wiltshire and Bath chose Dorothy House as our charity of the year to support.
“We have worked with many clients and their relatives who have benefited from the invaluable services offered and we’re pleased to be able to give something back through our year of fundraising.”
The skydive is the first of several events planned by the Butterfly team of 73, who work from two offices – in Westbury and in Odd Down, Bath.
