Free public screenings of a film raising awareness about the climate emergency will take place in Westbury in September.
The People’s Emergency Briefing will be shown at 7pm on Friday 4th September and 11am on Sunday 6th September at The Laverton. There will be opportunities for discussion afterwards.
“Westbury Town Council will be showing the People’s National Emergency Briefing film on the impacts of climate change, which will be felt by us all, at a local, national and global level,” said a spokesperson.
“In November 2025, experts in their own fields, university professors, business leaders, people with huge experience and knowledge, came together for a conference in London. They spoke on the topics of climate, health, defence, nature, energy, food and finance. The film was made from this information.
“It is a compelling watch. It delivers vital information which we all need to understand. Most importantly, it offers hope and doable ways forward, for us all to follow, to create a sustainable future for us and future generations.
“Please do take this opportunity to hear facts, whatever your present stance on climate change.”
