World snooker coach, Duncan Ashman, has donated a snooker table to Fairfield Farm College in Dilton Marsh.
Duncan said, “World snooker is very keen to develop ideas on growing the game of snooker and this seemed a perfect fit, to be able to offer the opportunity to the students of the college a chance to play the game. Especially as world snooker already has a programme called Cuezone into schools which is learning based on snooker, and at the end of last year, hosted its first disability tournament in Gloucester.”
Duncan does most of his coaching at the Players Club in Westbury and is keen to keep an eye on any rising stars at the college.
The table will not only be used by college students, but also by youngsters attending the youth club at Fairfield on Thursday evenings. The youth club is open to young people aged 14-21 with a learning disability. The club runs from 7-9pm and costs £3. Like the Facebook page to keep up to date with events at the youth club.
