There is still time for residents to have their say on Bratton’s draft Neighbourhood Plan.
The Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group recently held two drop-in sessions, which were attended by over 100 residents, to answer any questions and to receive comments about the plan.
The deadline for residents and stakeholders in the parish of Bratton to have their say on the drafted plan is 23rd September. A Neighbourhood Plan is a community-led document that guides future building and development in a local area, giving communities more control over the future of their area.
Bratton Parish Council chairman, Councillor Keith Rayward, said, “The plan is wide-ranging and technically detailed. As such, it can be difficult to understand, so the Steering Group put on an excellent display of the key points for the consultation and were on hand to explain how those decisions were reached and to answer any questions.
“The ambience was augmented by an excellent continuous slide show of the key features of the Plan, and I was delighted with the enthusiasm with which members of the team engaged with questions from our visitors.”
Wiltshire Councillor Suzanne Wickham, who attended one of the sessions, said, “I would like to congratulate the Bratton Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group for their professional approach and dedication in preparing their Plan.
“The quality of material produced has been outstanding and, together with regular engagement with the community, has brought them to the consultation stage of the process. I hope all residents will engage with the referendum, as this is their opportunity to shape the future of the village.”
