An evening of top comedy is being held this month at Leigh Park Community Centre to raise funds for their Community Allotment and Garden Project.
The event on Saturday 29th November promises one unforgettable night of laughs from five top UK performers.
“Get ready for an evening of laughter and community spirit!” said LPCC trustee Jon Smith. “Join in the fun-filled night featuring up-and-coming comedians, good company and plenty of smiles – all in support of keeping the community green and growing.
“Our lineup includes four fantastic acts and a top MC! A night not to be missed!”
The line-up is
James Sherwood – A musical comedian with over 20 years on the UK circuit, he’s written for Sandi Toksvig, Jo Brand and Rory Bremner, appeared on BBC Radio and won awards at the Buxton and Hollywood (US) Fringes.
Hannah Lloyd-Davies – High-energy and delightfully self-deprecating, Hannah Lloyd-Davies shares chaotic tales of being 33, single and living with her parents.
Mark Vincent brings a mix of offbeat storytelling and sharp one-liners. A finalist in both the 2023 West End New Comedian and 2025 Silver Comedian competitions, he’s described as a “brilliant joke-smith” with a unique view of life’s absurdities.
Headliner – Steve Williams, a Welsh comic who is one of the UK’s most electrifying live performers, known for his razor-sharp wit and infectious energy. He’s toured nationally, supported Russell Howard and Lee Mack, and appeared on Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow, Russell Howard’s Good News, and Tonight at the Palladium.
The MC and compere is Nik Coppin, a stand-up comic for more than 12 years who has performed all over the world including at solo shows at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, New Zealand and Melbourne International Comedy Festivals and the inaugural Hollywood Fringe Festival in Los Angeles.
“The event promises to be a great way to chase away the autumn blues while helping improve the community shared space, buy new tools and expand garden activities for everyone to enjoy,” added Jon Smith.
“The community allotment and garden project welcomes people of all ages and abilities to get involved, whether you’re an experienced gardener or just keen to lend a hand and learn something new.”
