Hawke Ridge Business Park to offer the best in the west for connectivity

For a business, there is perhaps nothing worse than moving premises and then discovering your broadband connection is not up to scratch.

An inability to send and receive large files can be frustrating and can have a detrimental impact on any business which is why Hawke Ridge Business Park has prioritised the provision of ultrafast broadband to its tenants.

According to HPH Commercial Property, the company behind the £50 million scheme near Westbury, businesses moving to Hawke Ridge Business Park will enjoy an unusually high level of connectivity with fibre connections to not just one but two providers. The 35-acre park will offer a choice of provider, speed and connection.

Lindsay Holdoway, Managing Director at Bath-based HPH, said, “From the earliest design phase of Hawke Ridge Business Park we have been working with BT and Virgin because we recognise the importance of connectivity to a business’ operation and future development.

“Input from broadband providers into the site’s infrastructure will help ensure installation costs are minimised and make sure the process can happen as quickly as possible for all new tenants. Moving premises can be stressful enough for businesses but getting connected will be one less thing to worry about for those coming to Hawke Ridge Business Park.”

Virgin is offering Hawke Ridge tenants the option of four broadband services for up to 300mbs using Superfast and Ultra-fast fibre connections to their own national fibre network.

BT is offering a standard broadband service of up to 16mbs download, a fibre optic broadband service of up to 76mbs download and dedicated Internet broadband service of between 2mbs and 10gbs download.

HPH has already invested more than £2 million into Hawke Ridge Business Park. Works completed so far include a new roundabout, access roads, connection to mains services, landscaping, bus shelters and new signage.

Detailed Planning Permission has been secured for the first four business units. The units vary in size from 8,700sq ft to 36,300 sq ft. with a total area of 72,300 sq ft.

HPH have also submitted a second Planning Application to Wiltshire Council for a 10,400 sq ft roadside scheme fronting the entrance roundabout including a drive-through, three retail/ takeaway units and associated parking.

To discuss how new premises might influence your business plan please contact Chris Wordsworth or Lindsay Holdoway at HPH Ltd on 01225 480555 or for more information about opportunities at Hawke Ridge Business Park please call Alison Williams at Carter Jonas on 01225 747241 or James Gregory at Alder King on 01793 428106 or visit www.hawke-ridge.com.
