A literary festival will be returning to the grounds of Heywood House this year, offering an opportunity to engage with leading thinkers and creatives.
Heywood Literary Festival will return on 18th and 19th October 2025, following a successful event this year. Attendees can enjoy thought-provoking discussions on a range of topics, including history, politics, literature and comedy.
Event director Ryan Child said, “With its commitment to creating an environment conducive to meaningful conversations, 2025’s event will once again feature intimate panel discussions, Q&A sessions, and keynote talks from renowned speakers in their respective fields. The format encourages close interaction between speakers and the audience, fostering a truly personal experience for those in attendance.”
In 2024, famed authors Tim Marshall (Prisoners of Geography) and Dan Jones (The Plantagenets) captivated guests, while Sunday Times Bestseller Dr Sue Stuart-Smith was in conversation with Dame Clare Asquith of Oxford about her book The Well Gardened Mind.
Organisers are now seeking partners to help support the growth of the event and contribute to the development of arts and culture in the area. Whether through sponsorship, collaboration, or community outreach, Heywood House Talks is welcoming local businesses, educational institutions, and cultural organisations to join in making the 2025 event even more impactful.
“We’re thrilled to bring Heywood Literary Festival back for another year,” said Ryan. “The event’s intimate nature, combined with its dedication to fostering youth engagement and supporting local culture, makes it a standout occasion. We look forward to welcoming new partners to join us in making a lasting impact on the cultural landscape of the region.”
