The ‘Crafty Cockney’ was five times world champion and was one of the first celebrity darts players. After sharing a chip and hot dog dinner with fans outside, the darts legend stepped up to the oche taking on 16 local players.
Landlady Lynda Brewer said, “He’s just awesome! He’s been my hero for years and it’s been great to finally meet him. It’s my birthday as well so it’s been the perfect present.”
Hot on the heels of Eric Bristow will be celebrity darts players Bobby George and John Lowe, both of whom are to play at the bar in coming months.
