Leigh Park could be set for expansion under proposals for a new residential development.
It is proposed that 26 two-storey houses, with a mix of 2, 3, and 4 bedroom properties, could be built on the land adjacent to the primary school and Leigh Park Way,
The development from Persimmon Homes would include eight affordable homes, and Sandalwood Road can be extended to allow direct vehicular access to the site. The houses would all have car parking spaces.
The existing public footpath which crosses the land would be surfaced, with a minor diversion.
A pre-application consultation has already been distributed to the surrounding properties as part of the preparation for a planning application.
