WESTBURY’S Slimming World group has announced their Women of the Year awards.
The group runs three sessions which meet at the Methodist Church on Station Road, and a winner was chosen from each group.
Kim Pearce, Tamsin Watts, and Belina Chantley all lost over 5 stone in around a year or even less in some cases.
After joining in August 2009, Kim got down to her target weight by losing 5 stone and 10 pounds. Tamsin lost 5 stone and 10 pounds in 49 weeks while Belina Chantley is 5 stone 7 1/2 pounds lighter after just 32 weeks.
Juliet Morgan, Westbury’s Slimming World consultant said, “It’s a real achievement. This is a very successful group, I’ve been the consultant for nine and a half years now and it just goes from strength to strength. We’ve got 160 members in total and we’ve got some phenomenal men and women.”
Kim, Tamsin, and Belina all lost weight through the “Extra Easy” programme, which is designed to fit in with normal living.
Slimming World is held at the Methodist Church on Station Road, on Mondays at 5.30pm and 7.15pm, and on Tuesdays at 10.00am. To find out more about the group contact Juliet on 01373 830925 or 08700 75 46 68 or go to www.slimming-world.com
