A show performed by Pole-Da-Cise at White Horse Country Park in Westbury, raised close to £2,000 for the Wiltshire Air Ambulance Appeal on Saturday 16th October.
There were 18 performances in the show. Each one was made up of Pole-Da-Cise members, who are women from around the county showing how pole fitness has changed their lives, and this resulted in a truly electrifying atmosphere with a 200 strong audience.
Senior Pole-Da-Cise instructor Shelly said, “Pole-Da-Cise is so proud of its members. Not only do members pay to perform, but they also put weeks of practise into their difficult pole acrobatics. We would like to say a massive thank you to all our members’ dedication. We are so proud of everyone. To perform on stage for the first time for most, executing pole moves, tricks and spins is truly something to be proud of.
“So far, we have raised £1,897 and we are still waiting on sponsorship forms that some performers had arranged to raise extra for the charity.
“£700 of the amount raised came from raffle tickets for some truly amazing prizes donated by local businesses such as Premier Interiors Trowbridge, www.fragrancedirect.co.uk , Junction 18 of Warminster and so many more. Two members Jess Gale and Felicity Courage took charge of selling the tickets as well as performing on the night together and Felicity also sang as part of the end performance by owner of Pole-Da-Cise, Lisa Henderson.
“The buzz from the audience was outstanding and so that you get an idea of what went on, there are videos of the night posted on the Pole-Da-Cise Wiltshire facebook page.
“Pole-da-Cise of Melksham is committed to offering an outstanding service of pole fitness classes to our members but also to raising money for charity with our cabaret events and photoshoots throughout the year.
“The Wiltshire Air Ambulance is a service that needs donations and volunteers all the time and we really want to help get that message across.”
