WESTBURY is gearing up ready for Children in Need, with small businesses, individuals and schools set to help Pudsey and friends on the 19th of November.
The Children in Need campaign is the BBC’s UK corporate charity. The annual event takes place all across the UK to raise money to help improve the lives of disadvantaged children and young people across the UK.
The appeal raised £39million last year, which helps to make a difference to the lives of disadvantaged children.
Last year, people in Westbury came up with their fair share of wacky and wonderful ideas to raise money for the appeal. Leg waxing, a sponsored sing-a-long, dancing, and cake bakes were just some of the activities that took place, and there were plenty of people who used the day to bring out their fancy dress costumes.
