WESTBURY’S charity calendar is now on sale.
The calendar features views of Westbury landmarks and the surrounding area, photographs that people have submitted, and business photographs.
The calendar was launched to help make the wishes of a terminally ill boy come true. Connor Robinson, aged 12, from Trowbridge, was diagnosed with skin cancer last year and proceeds from the charity will go to him and his mother.
The calendar was produced by online company Team Calendars, and several local businesses are among those sponsoring the calendar.
Donna-Michelle Hall, who was born and bred in Westbury and is one of the organisers behind the calendar said, “All our efforts of putting the calendar together can be enjoyed by many and raise money for this incredibly worthwhile cause.
“The calendar will be £5. Every penny goes directly to Connor and Jenny.
“We were kindly sponsored for this project by several local businesses, who paid for the production of the calendar. Photos have been taken, donated and collected.
“We are very proud of the calendar, and it is available for purchase from Banana Blues in Westbury, or anyone who is interested in receiving one can email me on donnamichellehall@hotmail.com and we will arrange a collection.
“The calendar combines some great photographs of local places and landmarks, for example, the White Horse and Avebury, but also acknowledges some of the sponsors who made this calendar possible, for example, The Tale of Spice and Banana Blues, Girls of Elegance and Ladies Angels. We would like to thank all other sponsors who made this possible, Dutchman Building Contractors, and Ladies That Do, and for the photos that people emailed to us which we have used also.
“It was great to all be working on such a great project knowing that all proceeds will go to such a worthwhile cause. All the money goes direct to Connor and his Mum, to ease things for them slightly, to enable them to enjoy more quality time together, with some extra pennies to go towards treats and to tick off the wishes on Connors list.”
