NEW businesses and entrepreneurs in Westbury have the chance to win £2,000 – and other benefits for their business – by entering in the Wiltshire New Business Competition.
The competition is open to new businesses and those thinking of starting up a new venture. Entrants need to produce a business plan for the new business, which among other aspects describes the business, demonstrates a profitable business concept and cash flow plan, shows evidence of market research, and describes how the prize money would be invested to enhance the business.
Help from a Business Link advisor is available to help with preparations of the entry form and business plan, and discounts and benefits are on offer for all entrants. There is a £2,000 prize for the final winner, as well as £500 to put towards an advertising campaign, a media awareness session, and a 3-day business start-up course.
There will also be a prize of £1,000 for the best new business in Westbury, if four or more entries for the town are received.
The competition is organised by the Wessex Association of Chambers of Commerce, and more information and entry forms are available from www.wessexchambers.org or through 01225 355 553. The closing date is the 25th March 2011.
