IT was an evening fit for a king as princes and princesses gathered at White Horse Country Park’s charity ball on Saturday 10th September, raising around £1,800 for charity.
A live band, disco, barbecue and hog roast, casino, chocolate fountain, and much more entertained the royal revellers, all in aid of Help for Heroes. In a gesture to this year’s royal wedding the theme was Princes and Princesses.
The charity ball was a return of last year’s successful event. Organiser Rachael Hulin said, “It all went very well – I was very pleased. People were a bit slow in buying tickets so I was a bit concerned, but in the end it all turned out very well!”
Rachael would like to thank the local businesses who donated raffle prizes or gave discounted rates to help the evening, as well as people who gave cash donations.
