HOUSEHOLDS will see an increase in their precept in the year 2012-2013, as agreed by the town council last week.
The town council has adopted the draft budget for 2012-2013, which will see the band D householder pay £70.11, up from £67.07 last year. The total town precept is increasing to £349,332: an increase of 3.99%.
The town council precept forms part of the council tax bill to fund Westbury Town Council’s administrative staff, the upkeep of the Laverton building and town council projects such as the Christmas programme of events and this year’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations.
