TWO events for runners took place recently – the Dilton Dash and the Bratton Hilly Run – attracting hundreds of participants who were keen to take part in competitive running once more.
Tracey Hyde from organisers, Red Fish Events said, “The Dilton Dash, wet, windy, muddy and muddy. Then Bratton Hilly Run, hot, hot, hot. Two great events and it was fantastic to see you all.”
The Dilton Dash – a 3km and 10km event over multi terrain, consisting of footpaths, tracks and a little bit of road, took place on Sunday 23rd May with 200 runners.
The following weekend, on Saturday 29th May, the annual Bratton Hilly Run took place over 11km, taking in the steep climb up to Westbury White Horse. The event, which was described as a “picturesque, challenging, multi terrain course with panoramic views,” attracted 200 runners. The event supported Bratton Village Hall.
First Bratton runners home were Bob Salter and Melanie Minty.
Both events were held under Covid-secure guidelines.
