THE A350 out of Westbury towards Warminster from its junction with A3098 to its junction with Laverton Road will be partially closed from Monday 30th January until Wednesday 15th February, for maintenance work.

The closure is needed as Wiltshire Council will carry out carriageway resurfacing and associated works. There will be an alternative route via C398 – A3098 – Mane Way – Oldfield Road – B3097 – A350 (unaffected length) and vice versa. The closure and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs, says Wiltshire Council.
The closure will be required weekdays only from Monday 30th January to Tuesday 31st January between the hours of 7pm and 6am, Wednesday 1st February to Thursday 2nd February 24 hours per day commencing at 7am, Friday 3rd February to Wednesday 15th February between the hours of 7pm to 6am.
It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.
Westbury Town Council had previously requested to Wiltshire Council that the works take place during the daytime as councillors felt that this would be farer to residents who live near the work area as they may otherwise be disturbed at night, but Wiltshire Council has confirmed that the majority of the works will take place at night.
The order will have a maximum duration of 18 months. For further information please contact Atkins on behalf of Wiltshire Council on 01225 730438.
