THE Duke at Bratton is celebrating six years of success and owners, Andy and Lyn Hobbs, thank all their customers for their support.
Andy and Lyn took over the traditional village pub six years ago having come from running a pub in Loughborough. Andy said, “I rode 370 miles on my bike to have a look and as soon as I saw the outside, I had made my mind up.
“When we first came here we found the deeds of a previous owner called William Pike Hobbs which is really strange as our surname is also Hobbs.”
Lyn said, “We’ve really enjoyed being part of the community and have had great support from everyone, especially with fundraising; the local community has always got involved and helped us raise money for charity.”
Andy continued, “When we first moved here I said the only way I was leaving was in a box so we have no plans to go anywhere! We’ve had our ups and downs but we’ve loved it.”
