WESTBURY Town Council has filled its last available town councillor position.
Councillor Sheila Kimmins was elected by fellow councillors at a meeting earlier this month and will represent the West ward.
Sheila has lived in Dilton Marsh and Westbury since 1984. She has previously served nine years as a member of the Dilton Marsh Parish Council, of which three years was as chairman. She served 22 years as a magistrate, which included three years as chairman of the Wiltshire County Family Panel.
Sheila is currently the chairman of the Independent Monitoring Board (IMB) based at Erlestoke Prison.
Cllr Kimmins is interested in promoting Westbury as an ideal place to live for those commuting to London, and wants to encourage more affordable housing.
Cllr Kimmins also supports the introduction of electric buses in Westbury which she hopes will help with the pollution in the town, especially in Haynes Road and Warminster Road.
Sheila is also concerned about the future of the Post Office, the amount of litter in areas of the town and dog excrement on the pavements.
