The Westbury Yarn Bombers are encouraging local people to get creative in aid of local hospice Dorothy House.
The Westbury Yarn Bombers create crochet and knitted art installations for community projects and charitable causes. Since 2024, the group has created crocheted hearts for Dorothy House’s memory box initiative, which supplies families in after death care with thoughtful keepsakes.
Marisa Befoh, who founded the Westbury Yarn Bombers, is encouraging more local people to get involved by knitting, crocheting, or donating yarn.
“Many contributors choose to collaborate in a way that suits them best, by creating and sending in knitted or crocheted hearts, artwork, or yarn donations,” said Marisa.
“This flexible approach has allowed far more people to take part and support good causes in their own time, and it has worked incredibly well.
“I would love to build on this momentum and continue creating meaningful crochet and knitted art for community projects and charitable works, including Dorothy House.”
