A WESTBURY woman will be jumping 15,000ft out of the sky next week to raise money for a child disability charity.
Natasha Penny (pictured) will be taking on a skydive at Honiton Airfield on Monday, and is hoping to raise £500 for Conductive Education Bristol, which helps exercise children with cerebral palsy. Her jump will be part of a Guinness World Record attempt at the airfield, which will be aiming to hold the most 15,000ft jumps ever in a single day.
Natasha, who runs accounting service Busy Books in Westbury said, “I’m really looking forward to this – it’s such an exciting thing to be part of and another thing to tick off my bucket list!
“I wanted to try something different after doing the European car rally for the past two years. I’ve never done a skydive before; I’m not great with heights but it should be great fun.
“I’ll be raising money for Conductive Education Bristol, which offers movement, exercise, equipment and a valuable support service to parents and carers of disabled children.
“A little boy I know, named Henry, was diagnosed with cerebral palsy around 11 months old and attends the wonderful classes run by Conductive Education.
“I’m hoping to raise at least £500 this year for Henry and his little group of friends. The money will help keep the group running and I hope will contribute to some valuable specialist equipment needed.”
