A new climbing frame has been installed at Vivash Park, offering children a new space to play.
The construction of the wooden structure has been completed and is now open for children to enjoy. A slide, rope bridge, and fireman’s pole feature at the facility, near the existing picnic benches.
David, Westbury Town Council’s Lead Ranger, said, “We are incredibly fortunate to have this amazing green space within walking distance of the town. This new addition will not only complement the existing area but also encourage social and active play.
“We hope this improvement will create a vibrant and engaging environment for families and young people to enjoy.”
Made from durable hardwood Robinia timber, the play equipment also features an impact-absorbing surface to improve safety.
Plans for the new climbing frame were approved by Westbury Town Council in November last year.
At the council meeting held at the time, Cllr Mike Sutton said, “Since assuming ownership of Vivash Park, Westbury Town Council has continued to make improvements while ensuring that it remains essentially an environmental oasis where nature can be enjoyed or studied.”
