A NIGHT to remember is planned for Westbury man, Nick Jones, who has recently been diagnosed with terminal heart failure, to raise money for Dorothy House and also to set up his own foundation.
A black tie evening of fun fair rides, champagne, live music and a visit from special guest, Peter Andre, will be held to raise money in aid of Nick on Saturday 14th April at Club Ice in Westbury.
Nick has experienced heart problems since 2012 after a small stroke. He was later diagnosed with malignant hypertension, which attacks the heart and internal organs.
He is now being supported by the Dorothy House team for end-of-life planning. Nick has two young children, Cameron 15 and Lara 13 and wants to use the fundraising event to help both Dorothy House and also to fund a start up foundation to help his children and other children cope with the loss of their parent/s.
Nick told White Horse News, “I’m the type of person that when you do something, you don’t do things by halves, You have one time on this earth, so why not go all out?
“There will be everything from lighting, speakers, a fun fair for the children and obviously it’s great that Peter Andre will be coming too. It would be great to raise as much money as we can, to support those in need.
“Loss is loss, no matter what takes you, all we can do is try to support those around us. We want to raise as much as we can for these kids on the night and it will be a way for me to be able to make memories with my own children that soon I won’t get the chance to.”
This is a ticketed, tux and evening dress only event – tickets are £25 per person. The fun fair will begin at 7.30pm with official doors opening at 8pm.
