This year’s Pink Ball has raised over £10,000 for Breast Cancer Care and Cancer Research, with organisers declaring it the most successful ball they have held.
The event was held at The Venue, Center Parcs, on Saturday 18th November, and over 230 guests were greeted with a glass of Pink Prosecco on arrival, they then enjoyed a full three-course ådinner, followed by dancing to the band iRock and DJ Jay. There was also a photo booth that kept guests amused with crazy props and wigs.
The event was organised by friends Jane Cryer and Sue Woodhouse and was the sixth charity ball to be held by the pair at Center Parcs. The first one was held in 2005 and was organised to celebrate Jane’s successful treatment for breast cancer; this year’s event was held to celebrate the successful treatment of a very close friend.
Over the six Pink Balls, the pair have raised approximately £35,000 and donated to a number of charities including Breast Cancer Care, Cancer Research, Target Ovarian Cancer, Macmillan and Dorothy House.
Jane and Sue say, “We would like to thank everyone for their continued support and help with the Pink Ball, especially our amazing guests for being so generous, friends, family and the team from Barclays Bank who helped out on the night, and everyone who donated money, raffle prizes and items for the silent auction.
“We would especially like to thank Emma and the corporate team for their continued help and support, The Venue front of house and behind the scenes staff for their hard work on the night, and a special thanks also goes to Center Parcs, Longleat, for once again kindly donating a holiday break for the prize draw.”
