Plans for a boarding cattery in Westbury have been submitted to Wiltshire Council.
The proposal outlines the development of a cattery at Coach Road Farm. The application states, “Notably, there are currently no boarding catteries within the town of Westbury. The cattery is designed to house up to 10 pens, constructed with redwood timber cladding and fully insulated to ensure the utmost comfort for the feline guests.”
“Within the cattery, the interior sleeping areas are designed to meet and exceed regulatory standards, featuring full insulation and efficient heating systems. The owner’s commitment to the well-being of the cats are paramount, and they aim to create an environment that is both secure and comfortable.”
The plans also highlight the property’s practical features, including a spacious driveway capable of accommodating up to seven cars.
The proposal was discussed at a recent meeting of Westbury Town Council’s highways, planning and development committee. Councillors raised no objections.
Cllr Jane Russ said, “Looking at the plans, it isn’t a huge development. Westbury could do with a cattery.”
Wiltshire Council is expected to make a decision on the application by 13th January.
