A community Summer Fair and Tractor Fest is making its return to Westbury’s All Saints Church this month.
From 11am until 2pm on Saturday 28th June, visitors can enjoy tower tours, tractor displays, home baking, children’s crafts, a Scalextric track and a tombola at All Saints Church.
A Belgian mechanical organ will provide musical accompaniment in the churchyard.
Visitors will also be able to visit the ringing chamber, where the bell ringers sound the peal of bells each Sunday, and see the workings of the church’s 17th-century chiming clock. The tower houses the third-heaviest peal of bells in the world and often welcomes visiting bell-ringing teams.
Revd Rebecca Harris, Rector of Westbury, said, “We are really looking forward to welcoming the wider community into our beautiful church building. This is one of the highlights of the church’s year. We are pleased to see its return after a break last year. I hope that the community of Westbury will join us for our summer celebration.”
Entry is free, and all funds raised from the stalls and tower tours will go towards the upkeep of the church and its building. The churchyard can be accessed from Church Street, Market Place or Edward Street. Parking is available in the High Street car park.
