WESTBURY Rotary Club has raised over £400 for local charities with their festive activities.

The club reports, “Members of Westbury Rotary were again out in force collecting charity donations, first outside local supermarket Morrisons on Friday 3rd December; and then again, handing out mulled wine with accompanying mince pies to the folk of Westbury as they strolled around the town centre enjoying the Westbury Christmas Lights Illumination ceremony on Saturday 4th December.
“Over the two days more than £400 was raised for local charities and we enjoyed chatting with shoppers and festivity visitors as they entered/left Morrisons on Friday or just enjoyed the Saturday afternoon/ evening’s entertainment.
“Morrisons, thanks to Mel – their community lead representative, kindly donated 138 mince pies to be shared with the crowds attending the Christmas lights illumination on 4th December.
“It was a thoroughly enjoyable couple of days for the participating Rotarians – we’re looking to a repeat performance in 2022!
“The local charities that were supported this weekend are: Westbury Rugby Club, Abraham’s Kitchen, Youth Adventure Trust and Dorothy House.”
