A WESTBURY woman raised over £600 for charity last month by jumping out of a plane 15,000ft up in the air.
Natasha Penny, who runs her own accountancy business Busy Books in Bratton, completed a skydive at Honiton Airfield in aid of Conductive Education Bristol. The charity provides exercise equipment for disabled children and support for their families.
The skydive had been cancelled twice before due to bad weather, but went off without a hitch.
Natasha said, “The skydive was wonderful! It was so exhilarating and didn’t feel at all like I expected. It wasn’t like a roller coaster but felt more like I was floating.
“It was a lot less scary than I thought it would be, and falling through the clouds was spectacular. My daughter, Olivia, said she was proud of me and asked what the clouds tasted of – the answer was candy floss!
“I raised £650 which was much more than my target so I’m really pleased; the money’s going to such a good cause.
“I’m not sure what I’ll be doing for my next fundraiser – it’s going to be difficult to push it to the next level!”
